If you are early enough, you can get a relatively cheap ticket via the arrival site of the Stuttgart Convention Bureau.
By plane
Stuttgart has an international airport (STU) which is approached by many inner-European and international cities. The airport is located on the outskirts of Stuttgart, in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. From the airport, you take the S-Bahn S2 (direction Schorndorf) or S3 (direction Backnang) to get to the city centre and the main station within 20-25 minutes.
By car
Stuttgart is located along the highway A 8/A 81. At the highway junction ‘Kreuz Stuttgart‘, the highways A8 (west – east) and A 81 (north – south), as well as a very little piece of a route with the number 831, come together.
Please note: Parking in Stuttgart is neither easy nor cheap. A map of parking houses with traffic information in Stuttgart can be found on this special site.
